Functions of the Ghaziabad RTO

  • Conducting driving test: RTO does not just issue a driving licence but also conducts the driving test of the applicants. As mandated by the regulations of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988, all applicants need to appear for the driving test in the presence of the driving instructor. Ownership Transfer in Ghaziabad RTO

  • After the death of the original owner, the vehicle registration needs to be transferred to the name of the new owner within three months of the death.
  • If you purchase the vehicle second-hand then also ownership of the vehicle needs to be transferred. Both transferor and the transferee must be from the jurisdiction of the Ghaziabad RTO.
  • After the purchase of the vehicle from the state or the central governmental auction, the ownership transfer procedure must commence within 30 days of taking possession.

Renewal of Registration in Ghaziabad RTO

After the expiry of the validity of the registration certificate, you can apply for the renewal of the registration certificate by visiting the Ghaziabad transport office or the Ghaziabad RTO website. You are required to fill and submit form number 25 at the RTO along with the required documents such as the original RC book and PUC (Pollution Control Certificate).
