  • 2. Can Vehicle Insurance be transferred?

Yes, the insurance can be moved to the purchaser of the vehicle, if the car vendor keeps a hard copy proof of such exchange and is able to provide the same to the insurance agency. A new proposition structure is also required to be filled in. Also, there is a nominal expense charged. The transfer should be executed within 14 days of the difference in ownership.

  • 3. Could the Protection and Vehicle Proprietorship be under different names?

No. Registration and Insurance of the vehicle should be under a similar name with a similar location.

  • 4. What is the duration of the Insurance policy?

Usually, it is valid for a period of one year and has to be renewed before the due date every year. One should pay the premiums duly on time every year. No Insurer offers buffer time for paying the premiums. In case your policy lapse even by one day, your vehicle will get inspected. Additionally, if an exhaustive arrangement is permitted to pass for over 90 days, the accumulated advantage of NCB (No Claim Bonus) is likewise lost.

  • 5. What if you lose the insurance policy?

In such a case you can contact the same insurance company which had earlier issued the policy and write them a nominal request. They may charge a nominal fee and issue back a duplicate copy of the policy.

  • 6. Is it compulsory to carry the Certificate of Insurance while driving in public places?

Yes, it is necessary to carry the Certificate of Insurance along with a Xerox copy of Registration, PUC Certificate, and a valid Driving licence while the vehicle is on the road.

  • 7. In the event that I am utilizing the vehicle in a specific city, what premium rate is applied?

To apply a premium rate, the place where the vehicle is enlisted is figured (not where the vehicle is utilized). On the off chance that your vehicle is enlisted in Hyderabad, the rate material for Zone A is charged. In any event, when you move to an alternate city/town, a similar rate will keep on being applied. Additionally, if a vehicle is enlisted in a town, it draws in the Zone B premium rate. Along these lines, if the proprietor moves to a metro city, he will keep on being charged the Zone A rate.
