8 Important Add-on Covers for Your ACKO Car Insurance Policy

Following is the list of the 8 Acko four-wheeler Insurance add on covers that you can avail of online:

  • Zero Depreciation Cover:

Depreciation is the common wear and tear that happens with your car after the continuous use of the vehicle over the period. These might be smaller issues but can become a huge burden on the pockets while settling the insurance cover. By adding Zero Depreciation Cover to your Acko Car Insurance policy, no depreciation cost is deducted for repairing or replacing the parts.

  • Engine Protection Cover:

Under this add-on cover, you will not have to pay extra while replacing or repairing the engine after claiming insurance. The insurance provider still reimburses the damages that  occurred way before the accident.

  • Roadside Assistance Cover:

This one is the most sought-after add-on  for the vehicle owners. After the accident, or if your vehicle breaks down in the middle of the road, you will not have to pay for any roadside help that you get from the service provider. This includes towing your vehicle, fuel services, taxi support, and emergency pick up of your vehicle from the place of the accidents. Other repair services such as fixing a flat tyre or jumpstarting the battery and on-the-spot repairs are also covered under this Acko Car Insurance Add On cover.

  • Consumable Cover:

When you purchase the standard comprehensive vehicle insurance, the consumables of the car are not included in the basic policy. This includes engine oil, grease, distilled water, bearing, oil filter, gearbox oil, etc. You do not have to pay from your pocket for repairing or replacing these at the time of settling the bill after the accident.

  • Outstation Emergency Cover:

All the insurance covers have a radius of the area till there you get the insurance cover. However, with this insurance add-on , you get reimbursement from the service provider even if your 4-wheeler meets with an accident or breaks down 100 Kilometers from your residential area. The reimbursement cost is decided when drawing up the insurance policy. If the repair time exceeds 12 hours, then you get additionalinr 2,500 on your repair bill.

  • Personal Accident Cover for Passengers:

The personal protection cover is usually added to the basic insurance policy. This extends the financial cover to the policyholder against any physical injury. In case of the policyholder's death, 100% compensation is provided to the beneficiary of the policyholder. Personal Accident cover for the passenger is the Acko Four-wheeler insurance add-on cover that extends similar financial protection cover to the people who are in the passenger seat at the time of the accident. With this add-on rider, you can get as much as Rs. 1 Lac per passenger.

Replacing a key can be heavier on the pocket, as the cost of replacing or duplicating the key can go up to INR10,000 for luxury cars. The key replacement add-on cover reimburses the whole cost of replacing the key if it is lost, stolen, or even damaged. Under this add-on cover, you can even put a claim for the replaced damaged or depreciated car lock.
