If you want to ride motorized vehicles on the streets of Nagaland, having a Driving licence is essential. To ride a motorized vehicle on public roads, you must have a valid driver's licence, according to the Motor Vehicles Act of 1988. What is the Eligibility Criteria for Obtaining a Driving License in Nagaland?

To be qualified to apply for a driving licence in Nagaland, a person must meet all of the conditions listed below.

  • To obtain a DL, you must first obtain a learner's licence.
  • After 30 days and within 180 days of acquiring a learner's licence, a person must apply for a permanent driving licence.

How Do You Apply for a Driver's Licence In Nagaland?

The online procedure is as follows: Visit Parivahan Sewa's official website > Select 'online Services' > Select 'Driving Licence Related Services' from the menu > Choose Nagaland in the state option > To apply for a driver's licence, go to 'Apply for a Driver's Licence' > Read all of the instructions before pressing the 'Ok' button > Select the type of licence for which you wish to apply. Also, provide the information of your learner's permit and your date of birth > Select 'OK' > Fill out the application form and submit all required papers > choose a time slot for the exam> The application costs must be paid in the end.

Offline Mode: You must visit your local RTO office to apply in the offline mode. You may also print the form, fill it out, and bring it to the RTO office with all of the necessary documentation. After that, choose a time period for the exam and take it. Before taking the exam, you must be aware of all traffic rules and regulations.

How Can I Get a Duplicate DL in Nagaland?

To apply for a duplicate driving licence, the following documents must be submitted:

  • Copy of original DL
  • Application form LLD
  • Application form 1
  • If stolen, a copy of the FIR
  • Challan clearance report (commercial DL)

Driving Licence Test Procedure in Nagaland

The candidate must take the exam in the type of vehicle for which he has applied. If the candidate fails the test, he has seven days to retake it. However, after three such examinations, the applicant will not be allowed to reappear until 60 days have passed since the last test.
