Light Motor Vehicle (LMV): LMV or Light Motor Vehicle Licence is issued for commutes like jeep, car, delivery vans, auto, taxi, etc. Here, the driver is issued either:
Medium Goods Vehicle: These vehicles are used to transport goods from one place to another like delivery trucks or tempos.
Heavy Goods Vehicle: The trucks used for the delivery and goods transportation are listed under this category.
Heavy Passenger Vehicle: The vehicles used for passenger commuting like buses.
Road Roller: A road roller is a heavy vehicle used in construction work.
Motorcycle with Gear: The two-wheelers with gear like motorbikes, scooters, etc.
Motorcycle without Gear: The two-wheelers without gears like mopeds, scooters without gears, etc.

For applying for Saarthi (Driving Licence) Haryana, you can opt for either online or offline mode. Here’s how you can do it:
There is the government’s website www.sarathi.nic.in that you need to visit. Here you can select the driving licence, fill the application form with all the valid details and submit it along with all the necessary documents. Thereafter, you will be sent the status information of your DL Haryana.
Haryana RTO office provides you with the option of applying for the DL. visit your nearest Haryana RTO office and collect the DL application form. You need to fill out the form, and submit it by attaching all the necessary documents. Thereafter, the employee will guide you thereafter.
Applying for a duplicate driving licence Haryana is not tough however, you must be careful in keeping your DL safe. In case you lose it, you can visit the Haryana RTO office or the official website and fill the Form LLD. With the form, submit the necessary document and the application fee. Upon approval, you will be issued a new driving licence.
Haryana driving licence is legally valid till 20 years from being issued or your age reaches 50 years. Before it expires, you must apply for Haryana licence renewal by filing Form 9. Submit the application along with the required documents. After the expiry date, each applicant is given a 30 days grace period for applying for licence renewal.
Haryana allows an applicant to file for an international driving licence Haryana. For this, you need to submit a few documents, a copy of your permanent DL, and a copy of your passport to the Haryana RTO office. If the department approves your application, the international driving licence Haryana will be sent to you via post.
Commercial Driving Licence Haryana, CDL is issued to the applicants upon submission of Form 4, Driving Training Certificate, along with a few other documents either at RTO Haryana or via the online method. If the application gets approved, the department will call you for the Haryana learning licence test.
Checking the status of your Saarthi, DL Haryana is quite easy. Visit www.sarathi.nic.in and click on “Status of Web Application” under ‘National Registry Services’. Here, enter your application number and then the page will show you the status. In case you filled the offline form, contact the respective Haryana RTO office to know about the status.
Before you are issued the Learner’s Licence Haryana, the Haryana RTO department conducts an offline test and a driving test. In the offline test, your understanding of the traffic rules is tested where you have to score a minimum of 60%. From https://parivahan.gov.in/, you can book your slot. Then in the driving test, you need to visit the RTO office Haryana and pass the test. In case you pass, Learner’s Licence Haryana will be issued to you and if not, you will have to reapply.
