Bajaj Pulsar 150cc Insurance FAQs

  • 1. My bike got stolen recently. Will my two-insurance cover any cases of theft?

Comprehensive insurance includes a theft cover thus will your bike in such a case of theft.

Motorcycle theft claims usually take about a month to process. It depends on the complexity of the investigation for the amount of time taken for settlement. Some of the insurance providers pay in full amount if the two-wheeler is not recovered under 90 days.

  • 2. I made an insurance claim after my bike was involved in an accident. How do I track my claim status?

Generally, you can track your insurance claim status online now, for most of the insurance providers. Still, you must check if your insurance provider provides the online claim status tracking service. Keep your claim number and policy number handy so that you can track your claim status online, quickly.

Some of the insurance providers have 24/7 claim notification services with assistance and surveys being provided within a day.

  • 3. I was involved in a bike accident and both me and the other vehicle suffered damages. Does my insurance cover any damages suffered by the third-party vehicle?

If you own comprehensive two-wheeler insurance, then your insurance covers you as well as the third-party person or liabilities. And, in case you have only the mandatory third-party insurance, it will cover the third-party person or vehicle only.

  • 4. It has been days since my bike was stolen and have not been recovered yet. Is there any kind of coverage that I can receive from my insurance provider?

If you have comprehensive insurance, Insured Declared Value (IDV) is the maximum amount your insurance provider will give you in case your bike is beyond repair or gets stolen to be not found again. If you have chosen a higher policy with higher IDV, then you might receive a good amount of coverage, in case your bike is never found.

You must always remember that in a total loss of your vehicle, a higher IDV can lead to higher reimbursement.
