Originally manufactured and launched by Honda in 1988 in Japan and assembled in China as the 4th generation Dio, the four-stroke 110 cc engine Honda Dio also spanned its operations in Karnataka, India in 2013 as its launch pad.

Honda Dio is available in 3-engine variants – fan cooled, 4 Stroke, and SI Engine. These variants are pioneered with an ACG starter engine which silently starts the bike engine and gives you strong mileage with a fuel tank capacity of 5.3 litres. Honda Dio is powered by eSP (enhanced smart power) technology and sensor based PGM-FI system which is weather friendly and produce less emissions under all conditions.

The programmed fuel injection gives you efficient fuel power and mileage with a robust eco-friendly HET BS VI ENGINE. The riding becomes smooth and friendly when you have your feet protected from the engine emitted heat by the Dio’s stylish muffler protector.

What is Covered Under Honda Two Wheeler Insurance Policy

  • Third-Party Losses: In the unfortunate event of third-party loss, your policy will take care of the legal and financial liabilities.
  • Damages Due to Accidents: If your two-wheeler is damaged due to an accident, nothing to worry about as your two-wheeler insurance policy got you covered.
  • Vehicle Thefts: In case your two-wheeler is stolen, your two-wheeler insurance policy will look after the same.

What is not Covered Under Honda Two Wheeler Insurance Policy

  • Drunken Driving: No insurance company will accept your claim if you were drunk or under an intoxicant when the accident happened.
  • Unauthorised Driving: Your claim will be rejected if the rider is without a valid Driver’s License.
  • Deliberate Accident: If the accident has been caused purposely, the claim will be rejected.
  • Consequential Damages: Consequential damages that are caused after the accident are not covered under insurance.
  • Negligence: An accident occurs because of your own negligence; you won’t be able to claim the damages.
  • Depreciation: Damages that are caused because of normal wear and tear, mechanical or electric failure due to travelling.
  • Expired policy: If the policy has lapsed, your damages will not be covered.
  • Excluded Add-Ons: You will not be able to claim the benefits that you do not have in your plan

  • 1. Is it possible to avail of the pillion driver cover when I opt for the comprehensive insurance policy of Honda Dio?

    Your comprehensive policy does not cover the pillion driver cover, until and unless you have opted for an add-on. For a pillion driver cover, you have to buy an additional add-on cover along with your comprehensive policy. 


  • 2. Do I need to renew my No Claim Bonus before renewing the expired policy? What will happen if I fail to renew my Honda Dio bike?

    Yes, it is essential to renew your No Claim Bonus from your previous insurance policy expiry date since the validity of the policy is upto 90 days. If you fail to renew your policy within 90 days then no claim bonus will come to zero and you won’t get the benefit transferred to your renewed policy.


  • 3. What to do if my insurance policy of Honda Dio lapses?

    In such a case, you need to contact your Honda Dio policy insurer if your policy has lapsed. An authorised surveyor of the company will visit you to inspect your Honda Dio bike and thereafter your policy will be renewed.
