  3. Stand Alone Own-Damage Cover

  1. Multi-Year Comprehensive Two-Wheeler Insurance
    This plan offers comprehensive protection for a tenure of 2 or 3 years to your two-wheeler as it covers third party liabilities as well as your own-damages. The main features of this policy are:

HDFC Ergo General Insurance Company - Expired Policy Renewal Process 

Renewing your insurance policy on time is crucial. Not doing so will put you at the risk of being without any coverage and you would end up spending a big amount from your own pocket. Keep the renewal a priority and get your policy renewed before the expiry date. Once the policy expires, you have a 30-day grace period to renew the policy.

  • Car and Bike Insurance

If your car/two-wheeler insurance has expired, get in touch with the customer care and request for a renewal. A surveyor will be assigned to inspect your vehicle. After assessing the condition of your vehicle if you get approval from the company, you can renew the policy after paying the premium.

  • Health Insurance

Similarly, when your health insurance policy expires, the 30-day grace period starts. If you do not renew the policy in this period, your policy would lapse. Also, keep in mind that during the grace period, a claim cannot be made.

HDFC Ergo follows a simple claim procedure:

  • Car and Two-Wheeler Insurance Claim Process
    In case your car/bike gets involved in damage and a claim has to be raised, you can register online and share the required documents. Through self-inspection or an app-enabled digital inspection by a surveyor/ workshop executive, you can get the vehicle inspected. You can check the claim status online and wait for the claim to be processed.
  1. Cashless Claims
    At a network garage, you can get a cashless repair for your car/bike. Post the survey when the claim is approved, your car/bike would be repaired and the bill would be settled by the company directly.
  2. Reimbursement Claims
    Post the survey, you can take the car/bike to a non-network garage and get it repaired. You would have to pay the bill upfront, however, you can get the expenses reimbursed by submitting all the related and required documents. Once the claim is approved, your claim would be settled.
  • Health Insurance Claim Process
    Whenever a claim arises, you need to inform the company at the earliest. In the case of planned hospitalisation, you can inform the company 48 hours prior to the admission and in case of an emergency, within 24 hours of admission.
  1. Cashless Claims
    For cashless treatment at a network hospital, you need to fill in the PreAuthorisation form. On the basis of the pre-auth approval, the hospitalisation can be done. The company will settle the bills directly at the time of discharge.
     
  2. Reimbursement Claims
    At a non-network hospital, pay the bills and preserve all the original invoices. After your discharge, send all the treatment-related documents and invoices to the company. Once all the documents are checked, the claim amount will be transferred to your bank account.
