- Domiciliary Hospitalisation
If the condition requires medical treatment for a minimum of 2 days, domiciliary hospitalisation will be covered for a maximum period of 7 days per insured person per policy year. This will be claimed through reimbursement.

Exclusions are the services that are not included in a health insurance cover. The following are not covered in Freedom Healthline Policy :
- On the purchase of a new policy, there is an initial waiting period of 30 days for all kinds of illnesses. During this period no hospitalisation will be covered except the ones arising from an accident.
- Pre-Existing Diseases are not covered till 48 months of continuous coverage
- For the treatment of listed diseases, there is a waiting period of 2 years
- Injuries or illness that arises from self-inflicted harm are not covered
- Vaccinations are not covered, except for animal-bite treatment

- Free Look period
A free-look period is a 15-day period that starts from the date of receipt of the policy. This period of time is given to you to review the terms of the policy and return it, if not fully satisfied. However, the return can be made, provided no claims have been made. The refund will be made after deducting the cost of medical screening, stamp duty charges and proportionate risk premium.
- Grace Period
Subject to the payment of premium, the policy may be renewed for 12/ 24 or 36 months. A 30-day grace period starts immediately when the policy ends. to renew the policy. Once the grace period is over, your policy will lapse. Note that you would not be able to make any claim during the grace period.
- Migration and Portability
If you wish to port out of Freedom Healthline Policy, without breaking the cover, you need to get in touch with the company at least 45 days prior to the renewal date of the policy.

A policy renewal refers to the conditions on which the contract of the health insurance plan can be renewed with mutual consent. Things to remember at the time of renewal–
- You can enhance the sum insured at the time of renewal
- The increased Sum Insured will be subject to the waiting period applicable under the policy
- In case you are found to be involved in any fraud/ non-co-operation, the policy may not be renewed

With Freedom Healthline Policy, you can make a claim in two ways, depending upon the hospital that you visited for your treatment. Chola MS provides 24X7 phone and email assistance to its customers. So, whenever you need to get in touch with the company, you can do it at your convenience. The customer care executives will guide you through the claim procedure.
- Reimbursement Claims
If you received treatment from a non-network work, you can raise a request for reimbursement. You would have to pay for the treatment cost from your own pocket. When you get discharged, remember to collect all the bills and receipts of the treatment expenses. You would have to submit the Claim Form along with all the required paperwork. Reimbursement Claims are settled within 30 days of receiving the last ‘required’ document.
- Cashless Claims
Cashless health insurance claims can be made only at a network hospital. A network hospital is a health care provider or a hospital that has a tie-up with the insurance company, TPA or jointly by both. It is recommended that you go through the list of network hospitals given on the official website of the company. These lists are updated from time-to-time, and thus you must check them regularly.
When you go to a network hospital, you can show your policy papers/ Health Card at the time of admission. If it is a planned hospitalisation, you must inform the insurance company at least 3 days in advance. Pre-authorisation for cashless claims is initiated within 24 hours of receipt of all required paperwork. However, in an emergency, you can inform the company within the initial 24 hours of hospitalisation and take care of all the formalities.
