2. How to get the No Claim Bonus?

3. For how long does a typical car insurance policy last?
Normally, Car insurance policies are of 12-month tenure, from the day of start. But since 2018, multi-year car insurance policies have also come up which last up to 2-3 years.
4. I wish to buy another car, and sell off my current car. What will happen to my car insurance, which I just renewed?
You can definitely transfer your existing car insurance to your new car. But for that, you will need to pay the difference in the amount. For example, if your new car is more expensive than your old car, then you will need to pay the difference of the insurance premium, prorated as per the time remaining.
5. What if I sell my current car to another person. Can I transfer the insurance to the new owner?
Yes, you can easily transfer your car insurance to the new owner of the car. However, this transfer of car insurance should happen within 14 days of the transfer of the registration certificate.
