Maruti Suzuki Alto comes in 2 variants, both petrol and CNG. The petrol variant offers a mileage of 22.05 km/l as compared to 31.59 km/kg in CNG. Both the variants have a common F8D engine that gives the maximum power of 35.3 kW at 6000 rpm with the transmission of 5 Speed MT.

The modernized design with a new grille and sharp bumper accentuate the appeal of the Alto, making it one of the best-in-the range selling hatchback. This five-seater car is available in eight variants - STD, STD(O), LXI, LXI(O), LXI(CNG), LXI(O)(CNG), VXI, and VXI+. All of them run with a maximum 35 litre fuel tank capacity.

The wheelbase of the Tubeless tyres is of 2360mm specifications which have a turning radius of 4.6 m. The tyres are rock solid with 145/80 R12 specifications.

Third-Party Losses: In the unfortunate event of third party loss, your policy will take care of the legal and financial liabilities.

What is not Covered Under Maruti Suzuki Alto Car Insurance Policy

Drunken Driving: No car insurance company will accept your claim if you were drunk or under an intoxicant when the accident happened.

Unauthorised Driving: Your claim will be rejected if the driver is without a valid Driver’s License.

Deliberate Accident: If the accident has been caused purposely, the claim will be rejected.

Consequential Damages: Consequential damages that are caused after the accident are not covered under insurance.

Negligence: An accident occurs because of your own negligence, you won’t be able to claim the damages.

Depreciation: Damages that are caused because of normal wear and tear, mechanical or electric failure due to travelling.

Expired policy: If the policy has lapsed, your damages will not be covered.

Excluded Add-Ons: You will not be able to claim the benefits that you do not have in your plan.

    No, it is not necessary. You can get the add-on car insurance cover included in your own damage cover in the comprehensive plan. The add-on cover is not autonomous.

  • 3. Is it suitable to opt for a long-term third party liability insurance cover for my burnt Suzuki Alto car?

    Third-party Car Insurance Liability cover does not provide you insurance cover for fire damage. It is suitable to opt for a direct insurance cover from the company itself which provides you “Own Damage Cover” which is not available with third-party.
