French automobile major, Renault has a very interesting history spanning 121 years. Known for their laurels during various motorsports and racing competitions, Renault’s foray into India dates back to 2008, when they set up their 1st ever design studio in Mumbai, under their new entity: Renault India Private Limited.
Renault Kwid, their best-selling entry-level crossover debuted in 2015, and was designed exclusively for Indian roads, and Indian users. Acclaimed Mathematician Gérard Detourbet led a team of engineers in India to design and develop Kwid, which is based on their Renault–Nissan Common Module Family modular architecture.
Renault Kwid is right now one of the best-selling compact hatchbacks, with aggressive pricing and laser-sharp focus on performance.
As the tradition of Renault goes, the primary focus of Renault Kwid is a great design, and an impressive styling quotient packed together with decent specifications for providing a great driving experience.
Powered with 799 to 999 CC engines, Kwid is available in both automatic and manual transmissions, with the base price of INR 3.12 Lakh, which goes up to INR 5.31 Lakh in New Delhi (Ex-showroom). The company claims a high-end mileage of up to 22.3 kmpl, making it one of the most fuel-efficient cars in this segment, giving a tough fight to the likes of Alto and S-Presso from Maruti.
Third-Party Losses: In the unfortunate event of third-party loss, your policy will take care of the legal and financial liabilities.
Damages Due to Accidents: If your car is damaged due to an accident, nothing to worry about as your car insurance policy got you covered.
Car Thefts: In case your car is stolen, your Renault car insurance policy will look after the same.
Damages Caused in Fire: If your car catches fire, your car policy will pay for the damages.
Damages Due to Natural/Man-made Disaster: When flood, hurricane, hail storm, tornado, riots, etc attack your car, your insurance policy comes in handy.
Personal Accident: In case you meet with an accident that leads to injuries or unfortunately death, your policy will offer compensation of up to INR 15 lakh.
Note: You will have to buy PA Cover separately.
Drunken Driving: No car insurance company will accept your claim if you were drunk or under an intoxicant when the accident happened.
Unauthorised Driving: Your claim will be rejected if the driver is without a valid Driver’s License.
Deliberate Accident: If the accident has been caused purposely, the claim will be rejected.
Consequential Damages: Consequential damages that are caused after the accident are not covered under insurance.
Negligence: An accident occurs because of your own negligence, you won’t be able to claim the damages.
Depreciation: Damages that are caused because of normal wear and tear, mechanical or electric failure due to travelling.
Expired policy: If the policy has lapsed, your damages will not be covered.
Excluded Add-Ons: You will not be able to claim the benefits that you do not have in your plan.
You can renew your Renault Kwid car insurance policy in 5 easy and quick steps.

Step 5- Make the final payment to renew your policy
Once you sit inside Kwid, you cannot help but notice the great attention to detail which Renault engineers have given to the design aspect. Although the car is a small hatchback (3731 mm length and 1579 mm width), you will get a feel of spacious interiors and comfortable seating, thanks to the dual-tone interiors.
The 999 CC engine gives you a nice head start and acceleration, and maneuvering urban roads and traffic will be actually fun with a steady steering wheel and decent ground clearance. The 799 CC has slightly less power, due to obvious reasons, but the difference is negligible while driving. The smart SUV-type front design is yet another bonus point for this car.
The difference is right there in the name itself: In 3rd party insurance, the cover is provided to the 3rd party, that is the external entity during an accident. And 1st party insurance covers you, the driver and the car, during an accident.
As per Motor Vehicles Act, 3rd party insurance is mandatory for every vehicle on the road. But we will suggest that for a new Renault car, always opt for 1st party or comprehensive insurance as well, since you too need to be covered.
Opt for 1st party insurance, also called Comprehensive Insurance. Once you opt for 1st party insurance, the elements and features of 3rd party insurance are automatically embedded into the policy.
No. We will not advise claiming insurance for small patchworks and repairs, which will cost around INR 2,000. And the reason is that you will miss the benefits of the No Claim Bonus, which is offered only when you don’t make any claim in a policy tenure.
You can get upto 50% discount on your next insurance premium, by not claiming any insurance within the policy tenure, which is also known as No Claim Bonus.
Yes, of course. Accidents can happen anytime, anywhere, and it’s not necessary that only you will be driving the car during an unfortunate accident. Irrespective of who was driving the car, your insurance claim is 100% valid if your car is insured and the person driving your car has a valid driving license.
