Tata Nexon Car Insurance FAQs

  • 1. What should I do if I forget to renew my car insurance policy and it expires?

You just have to apply for a fresh car insurance policy in this case. However, due to a gap span in the insurance policies, your car will be inspected by the officials of the insurance company.

  • 2. What is bumper to bumper insurance?

Bumper-to-bumper insurance mainly covers all the expenses incurred due to damage to the car's plastic parts, paint, batteries, rubber parts, etc. These are usually not covered in car insurance due to their limitations. Such depreciation reimbursements are boon in any situation as it covers from your front bumper to your back bumper.

  • 3. For whom is the zero depreciation cover most applicable?

There are various criteria on which we can consider for whom the zero depreciation cover can be applicable:

    • In almost six months your car’s value starts degrading. So even a small scratch or bump repair may cost you hefty. Purchasing this cover will provide you with overall protection.
    • When you are new to driving, you may take time to adjust to the roads. In such cases, car accidents/ damages are more likely. This cover will aid your claim for the early accidents and damages.
    • You must be aware that expensive cars are more expensive than ordinary cars. Hence even a small damage can cause a huge expense. This add-on cover will save you from such troubles.
  • 4. What is the importance of IDV concerning premium and car insurance?

Your car's IDV will be taken into consideration while deciding the compensation you will get while you claim the policy. A correct car IDV will not only offer you an appropriate compensation but will also aid your car's resale price properly. If your IDV is low, the sum insured and the premium will also be low and vice versa.
