A car insurance policy document is an agreement between an insurance company and a policyholder under which the insurance company provides insurance benefits against a predetermined premium amount subject to the terms and conditions of the policy provider. It is a legally enforceable document wherein legal terminologies are used like inclusions, exclusions, coverage, add-ons, etc. The policyholder can hold the policy documents in both soft and hard copies at their discretion.

HDFC ERGO sends the policy documents to the policyholder’s registered address once it is purchased. The policyholder is advised to go through all the terms and conditions of the policy document if they want to avail the full benefit of their car insurance policy at the time of claim settlement.
