TVS Jupiter Bike Insurance FAQs

  • 1. Why can't I cancel my bike insurance policy?

According to law, bike insurance is mandatory which saves you from both substantial financial loss and also the other third party losses. Insurance companies won't risk the cancellation of any policy as accidents are unpredictable. However in genuine cases like if you buy 2 policies for the same bike accidentally or buy a commercial bike policy instead of private policy, cancellation can be considered. Cancellation in such cases is done without charging any cost.

  • 2. Is the passenger on the back seat of the bike insured under the comprehensive two-wheeler insurance policy?

In a comprehensive two-wheeler insurance policy only the rider is covered. For the other passenger to be insured, you should opt for passenger add-on cover. This might cost you extra premium payments but at least the passenger will have the benefit of accidental protection.

  • 3. What are the benefits of long-term insurance for a two-wheeler?

Long-term insurance is beneficial in various following ways:

    • You are saved from the danger of lapsed policy.
    • It saves you from the hassle of renewing your policy every year.
    • This policy covers you for almost 2 or 3 years.
    • This policy is also responsible for providing you with a better No-claim bonus on your two-wheeler.
    • You also save on your premiums by confirming a certain amount because you will have to pay only once i.e at the beginning of your policy.
  • 4. What are the coverages involved in a personal accident cover for the safety of the pillion riders?

Personal accident cover is an essential cover because it ensures the safety of the pillion riders as well (if you include a pillion rider in your existing cover). Hence, if you and your pillion rider face an accident, all the hospital charges will be covered. In case of losing sight of one or both eyes or losing limbs in an accident, full compensation is offered under this add-on cover. If the accident leads to death or permanent disability of the pillion, you might get a 100% compensation.
