Honda CBR 650R Bike Insurance FAQs
1. How can I claim my bike insurance policy if my bike is stolen?
The foremost thing to do in this situation is to file an FIR at your local police station. In case of travelling, you must register an FIR at your nearest police station. While claiming this policy, you need to submit a photocopy of your FIR, required documents, keys of your bike and a non-traceable certificate to your insurance provider. You will get a full IDV amount after all considerations.
2. What is the meaning of VCD in a bike insurance policy?
VCD stands for Voluntary Compulsory Deductible. The mandatory amount which you have to pay during a claim is known as VCD. The remaining amount is known as the claim settlement amount which will be paid by the insurance provider. The higher the VCD, the lower will be the cost of the premium.
3. What are the advantages and disadvantages of third-party liabilities only insurance policy?
Owning at least a third-party liability insurance is mandatory. Especially when it concerns only third-party liabilities, this insurance policy proves to be one of the best. On the other hand, it wouldn't cover your own bike if it sustains any damage in an accident. You will be responsible for all the replacement and repairing of your damaged bike. It also doesn't cover your bike from theft or any natural disasters.
4. What will be the effect on my NCB if I don't renew my bike insurance policy on time?
No Claim Bonus is available only till 90 days after the expiry of the previous policy. Hence if you do not renew your bike insurance in time, your No Claim Bonus value will become 0%. Also, any benefit of No Claim Bonus will not be passed to your next bike insurance policy plan.
