The Hyundai Terracan is a mid-sized SUV that was made by Hyundai Motor Company in South Korea from 2001 to 2007. The Hyundai Terracan's design was first noticed in the Hyundai Highland concept, which utilized a chassis based on the second-generation Mitsubishi Pajero. It was available with one of two engines: a 2.9-liter inline-four Hyundai J or a 3.5-liter V6 Hyundai Sigma. The name of the automobile comes from Tarascan, a Mesoamerican imperial state in western Mexico. The Hyundai Veracruz took the place of the Terracan.
