Launched in January 2020, Hyundai Aura has quickly become one of the most popular sedans from the Hyundai camp. A successor of their best-selling subcompact: Xcent, Aura is based on the framework and structure of Hyundai i10’s 3rd generation variant Hyundai Grand i10 Nios. It seems that Hyundai has been able to tap the pulse of Indian drivers, with Hyundai Aura. This is an all-rounder company subcompact car, which checks all the critical pointers in the list of the Indian buyer: Economical, entry-level pricing for a sedan, decent engine for all terrains, automatic and manual transmission, BS6 complaint, easy driving, and all modern technological add-ons such as cruise control, wireless phone charging, rearview monitor and more.
Space constraint, especially in the rear side is one drawback that reviewers have pointed out, besides an under-powered engine which could have been a bit more powerful, for easy driving in the hills. Lack of options in the automatic transmission mode is another major drawback.
But overall, a great family car, at a great pricing point, which will entice hatchback users to embrace the magic of the sedan.
We like your confidence, but as per the laws of the Indian Govt, every vehicle on the road should have at least 3rd party insurance. But we will strongly recommend that you opt for both comprehensive and 3rd party insurance because you never know what can happen in the future.
In terms of insurance coverage and benefits, there is no difference: Either you buy an insurance policy online or offline, both will be the same. But in some cases, online insurance portals can give you some initial discounts, which usually is absent in the offline mode.
Yes. Most car insurance providers now accept online payments for insurance premiums and renewals.
You and your car are not covered in the 3rd party insurance. Only the damages done to the 3rd party are covered. For example, if you meet with an accident on the road, wherein you hit a Maruti Swift car with your Aura. In that case, if you have only 3rd party insurance, then the damages incurred to the Swift car of a third party will be handled by the insurance, and nothing else will be covered.
If you are planning to claim insurance for this accident, then yes, filing an FIR is mandatory. Without the FIR copy, your insurance money cannot be released, and your claim will be rejected.
No Claim Bonus or NBC is an excellent way to reduce up to 50% insurance premium for your next tenure. NBC can be availed if you haven’t claimed any insurance money during the tenure of your current insurance policy.
