The Union Territory of Dadra and Nagar Haveli was constituted by an act of the Parliament of India. Under section 213(1) of the 1988 Motor Vehicles Act, the Transport Commissioner governs Dadra & Nagar Haveli DN-09. DN-09's principal responsibility is to keep track of all vehicles registered in the district and enforce the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988's numerous rules and regulations.
