Lakshadweep RTO was established in 1990 under Section 213 (1) of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988. The RTO is headed by a transport commissioner in the tiniest Union Territory spread over 32 square kilometers. Ownership Transfer Registration in Lakshadweep RTO

Vehicle ownership transfer registration is normally necessary for the following events, and you need specific forms for applying, apart from the customary documents. In addition, you must apply at the LD RTO office to which the vehicle belongs.

Lakshadweep RTO issues duplicate RC if the original is lost, damaged, or stolen. However, the application at the specific RTO is in person and not online. Use Form 26 along with an affidavit containing the vehicle details and reason for seeking the duplicate. In addition, you need a police challan reporting the loss/ theft of the RC.
