How to Register a Vehicle at Mysore RTO?

You are required to have a valid registration for your vehicle in order to drive on the road, as stated in the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988. It is mandatory for all vehicle owners to register their vehicles at the designated RTO, to drive in that state. You will need to follow the correct procedures and present the correct documents in order to register your vehicle at the Mysore RTO. There are two types of vehicle registration in Mysore RTO;

  • Temporary Registration - Issued by the dealer, valid for a month
  • Permanent Registration - Can be applied after availing the temporary registration

How to Renew Registration Certificate in Mysore?

To renew your vehicle’s registration certificate, you will have to submit its renewal application 60 days before its expiration date. The fees for renewal and registration details must be submitted to the registration authority at Mysore RTO. The documents to be provided are:

  • Insurance certificate of the vehicle
  • RC book
  • PUC
  • Form 25

Transfer of Vehicle Ownership in Mysore?

In the case of buying or selling a vehicle, its ownership is required to be transferred to the new buyer through the process of RC transfer. With this process, all liability will be transferred to the new owner of the said vehicle.
