The Maharashtra Transport Department was established to comply with statutory compliances of section 213(1) of the MVA, 1988. Currently, the Maharashtra RTO department is handled by the commissioner of transport of Maharashtra to execute all the related duties and execute various laws. Currently, the Maharashtra department is operating through more than 50 functional offices in different areas and districts, ensuring all the necessary tractability of the state.
