  • You have been treated with Patent Ductus Arteriosus

Points to Keep in Mind When Buying Star Cardiac Care Health Insurance Plan

  1. Co-payment Clause:
    If your age is 61 years and above, then the co-payment clause is applicable. In other words, every time you claim the policy, you will have to pay 10% of the total medical expense from your pockets. For example, if the final bill for a visit is INR 1 lakh, you will have to pay INR 10,000 from your pockets, and Star Health will take care of the rest.
  2. Waiting Periods:
    • If you contract any diseases within 30 days of the policy commencement, the policy will not cover those.
    • The policy covers specific illnesses or diseases on the completion of 24 months of the policy being active.
    • The plan covers pre-existing diseases on the completion of 48 months of the policy, since its date of inception.
  3. Cancellation of Policy

If, due to some reason, you are not happy with the policy or want to cancel the policy, you can do so at any point. To cancel a policy, you would need to send a written notice to Star Health insurance. And depending on when you want to cancel the policy, they will refund the remaining amount to you.
